About the Novel

Re-discovery is a novel written about a city called Bauxe. The city is designed as a base for most activity in a gaming system known as GMRS. Re-discovery, is a fantasy novel, written about a Nomad (gypsy-like race of humanoids) that settles in Bauxe and is recruited by the merchant guild to help solve some local problems. By helping the merchant guild investigate some local anomolies, Morgana (the Main Character for Re-discovery) discovers more than she wanted to know about the history of Bauxe. In the end, more is revealed not only about the history of Bauxe, but also about the history of her race, and the history of the world.

About GMRS

GMRS is a table-top pen and paper roleplaying system designed and created by my husband Matthew Parmeter. It is still in the early stages of design, and is being playtested by two regular gaming groups we attend. The Character “Morgana” was created by me in the second playtest.

Chapters

The chapters in this novel will coincide with each day of writing in November. I tried to keep scenes together and in a normal chapter format, however, at the end of November however I stopped marking chapters, so week four may not make much sense until I edit. The first chapter of in every week will be available for everyone to view, with the rest of the chapters under a password protection.
